Technologies that PortaScience develops for healthcare often have applications in other fields. In 2004, PortaScience formed a new division, PortaCheck™ to market a new milk quality test to the dairy industry. The worldwide success of this product led to PortaScience being recognized as the New Jersey Member Company of the Year by the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia.
